Cat
Collectors is an international organization established in 1982 for people
who enjoy collecting cat figurines, books, artwork, advertisements,
calendars, postcards, paper products, stamps, needlework, jewelry,
antiques, bottles, teapots, and other items which bear a cat motif.
Cat Collectors' members are men and women of all ages and incomes. They are
at various levels of collecting: novice, seasoned, and investment
collectors.
The goals of Cat Collectors are:
- To provide in-depth information
about cats on the current and antique markets
- To become acquainted with authors and
artists, both famous and talented newcomers, who specialize in felines
- To provide a vehicle by which
collectors can buy, sell, and trade cat collectibles as well as obtain
information about their personal collections
- To give members the information to
build their collections to the best of their pocketbooks
- To meet other cat collectors
- To stimulate pride and enjoyment
in cat collecting
These goals are met through this website; where we try to keep all Cat
Collectors informed with various articles on cat collecting, provide
information on Local Cat Collectors Chapters, events directed towards Cat
Collectors and cat lovers, and links to other Cat Collectible
websites. Occasionally, emails are
sent to advise members of whole collections for sale, auctions of cat
collectibles, or specific items of interest.
We have several Cat Collectors chapters throughout the country, whose
members frequently get together. Check out the Local
Chapters link to find a club in your area, view their 'happenings' and
make new friends with your same interests.
Currently, we have no membership dues. This site is currently maintained by
items for sale on Internet auctions - see left side navigation bar to help
support us! Fees may apply to special events or meetings when posted on
this website, or to join a Local Chapter. Simply email Cat
Collectors with your name, email address as well as snail-mail address
and telephone number. We will add you to our distribution listing, and
PRESTO - you're a member!
