Saturday,
June 23:
Breakfast:
Table decorations by Barbara Luna featured a centerpiece of
a ceramic cat mug filled with flowers and packages of Catnip Seeds; and
with cat toys scattered around the center and yellow placemats with kitty
paw prints. Drawings of the kitty
poker chips decided who would go home with the centerpiece. Everyone was invited to take the kitty
toys home for their furry kids.

Rick Way, a member of Spellbinders, told us 3 cat
stories:

Keynote Speaker - Carole Nelson Douglas,
author of the Midnight Louie mystery series starring a 25 pound black cat.
“If Sam Spade had a cat, it would be Midnight Louie”. Her latest book, Cat In A Red Hot Rage was just released in May. Carole so graciously gave us a book
signing following lunch.
 
A Pizza Buffet Lunch with cake and ice cream and a birthday gift exchange
in recognition of our club’s 25th Anniversary:


For the luncheon, tables were decorated with vibrant
colored ceramic cats, matching the table covers and place mats. Colorful cat balloons and bunches of
balloons filled with helium also decorated the room. These were given to attendees who had a
cat sticker on the back of their place mat.
Each person had a Hershey chocolate bar in a special Cat Collectors
25th Anniversary wrapper.
Each attendee chose a gift to open, and then some exchanges took
place after lunch.







1 pm - Silent Auction starts and Vendor Room opens! The Silent Auction raised $410 for the
Las Vegas Humane Society.

public), new release “Cat In A Red Hot Rage”

5 pm - Vendor Room closed; and Adjourned for the
day. Saturday night was free time to
see shows, Room Hop, Casino time or just visit with other members. Dinner was on your own.
